Right now, we’re looking to recruit a Head of Business Intelligence.

The role

The Head of BI will manage a team of BI Developers and BI Analysts that provide Business Intelligence services to the company. The role will require to quickly establishment within the BI team in a busy environment, where reporting on company performance is key to decision making at the top level.

You will be able to develop not only your technical skills, but also your career in an exciting and often challenging environment.

You’ll work with stakeholders from various departments to define scope, objectives, and deliverables of BI projects. Working on the building and maintenance of architecture and components of BI solutions. You’ll work heavily with data sources, data warehouses, data models, ETL processes and BI platforms, ensuring the data is accurate, troubleshooting data quality, security and performance issues if need. You’ll also be notable in leading the creation and support of dashboards, reports, and BI applications to deliver user-friendly data products.

A technical business generalist with overall strong knowledge on best BI practices, you’ll set the requirements for Intelligence tools and platforms. On a management level, you’ll work to support the continuous development of the BI developers and analysts to ultimately ensure top quality performance across the department

FCA Certification Regime & Conduct Rules

L&C is authorised and regulated by the FCA and is classified as an Enhanced Firm under the Senior Manager’s and Certification Regime (SM&CR). This role is subject to the 6 FCA Conduct rules and you will be expected to adhere to them at all times. (See below). Any confirmed breaches of the Conduct Rules will be reported to the FCA annually. Should you apply for a Certified role in another financial services firm then L&C may be required to disclose this information in a Regulatory Reference request.

About you

Your strong communication and presentation skills, together with your resourcefulness and problem solving nature will drive your excellent decision making skills, enabling you to collaborate in our busy BI team. With personal drive to help colleagues you’ll also analyse and review development improvement areas and assist with the process of implementing change using industry best practice; documenting new processes as required, as well as identify risks, issues and constraints along the way.

Knowledge and experience of financial services, in particular mortgages, would be useful but not essential. Furthermore, whilst we recognise and value academic and technical qualifications, we are more interested in your relevant technical expertise in the above areas.
