Right now, we’re looking to recruit a IT Systems Administrator.

The role

This is a great opportunity for a seasoned Systems Administrator to join our IT Operations Team. Reporting to the IT Operations Manager you will be an escalation point for complex technical incidents from the 1st and 2nd line support teams. You will be expected to take ownership and ensure incidents are resolved in a timely manner, providing feedback to further develop IT colleagues as required.

You will act as a main point of contact when dealing with third-party suppliers and will be expected to log tickets and follow up through to resolution in a timely manner.

The IT Systems Administrator will be involved in existing and new IT projects providing input, from the planning as well as the delivery and documentation of new systems. You’ll work alongside colleagues from within the team and the wider IT department

FCA Certification Regime & Conduct Rules

L&C is authorised and regulated by the FCA and is classified as an Enhanced Firm under the Senior Manager’s and Certification Regime (SM&CR). This role is subject to the 6 FCA Conduct rules and you will be expected to adhere to them at all times. (See below). Any confirmed breaches of the Conduct Rules will be reported to the FCA annually. Should you apply for a Certified role in another financial services firm then L&C may be required to disclose this information in a Regulatory Reference request.

About you

You’ll have proven experience as a System Administrator, Cloud Administrator or equivalent experience in a different role. Your technical skills and analytical ability allow you to provide high level support across multiple systems and ensure these systems are fit for purpose and operational

Ideally you’ll have experience and/or certification in a selection of the following technologies;

MS Azure, Windows Server, Backup Technologies (Veeam), Hyperconverged Infrastructure (Nutanix), Mitel Telephony, Linux, VMWare, SQL, Automation (e.g. Powershell, Infrastructure as Code), Networking (Cisco), Monitoring Solution (PRTG), Vulnerability Scanning (Qualys) and SIEM (Alienvault).

You’ll be enthusiastic and eager to learn and improve upon your existing skills, as may be required when business needs change.
