L&C Mortgages is the UK’s leading fee free mortgage broker with over 160 awards to its name. It’s a great place to work; with ‘high5’ awards recognising those who go the extra mile, stakeholder pension contributions and 24 days starting holiday entitlement plus your birthday off.

Right now, we’re expanding our Marketing team and taking on a Digital Marketing Executive (CRO). Join us as we head into an exciting new period of growth.

The role

A mortgage is the biggest financial commitment most people make in their lives, which is why they turn to experts like L&C for guidance. Our Marketing team is a key part of L&C’s success, as we drive the vast majority of leads into the business and are at the forefront of the customer’s experience on digital platforms.

As Digital Marketing Executive (CRO), you’ll be using a range of skills to help improve digital touch points, support the optimisation roadmap and demonstrate ROI. Once you’re confident in our processes, you’ll be supported in taking on areas of the website/email journeys for yourself, and;

  • Use data to pinpoint key areas of focus
  • Wireframe and present your creative solutions, identifying key KPIs and keeping the customer at the heart of your ideas
  • Brief and coordinate building of A/B tests
  • Report on their successes (or failures and any insights gained as a result!)

You’ll be a key user of our analytics and A/B testing platforms, helping us optimise our digital touchpoints and being the gatekeeper of quality on any customer journey changes. You’ll be generating regular reporting on our CRO activity and its successes, both to internal stakeholders and our partners.

You’ll also help us regularly review our communications to make sure everything stays compliant, relevant and up to date.

FCA Certification Regime & Conduct Rules

L&C is authorised and regulated by the FCA and is classified as an Enhanced Firm under the Senior Manager’s and Certification Regime (SM&CR). This role is subject to the 5 FCA Conduct rules and you will be expected to adhere to them at all times if successful in your application. You may already be aware of these but don’t worry if not. If successful in securing an interview and role, a detailed explanation and training will be provided.

About you

We’re looking for someone who’s a confident, hard-working individual with a thirst to learn and try new things. You need to know how to mitigate risk in your creative ideas but not let the regulation of the industry hold your thinking back. Above everything, you need to be passionate about delivering an excellent customer experience and not be afraid to voice your opinion on things we could do better!

You can always count on the support of your colleagues in the Marketing team for training in new areas, but we’d love you to bring some of your own expertise and be able to pick things up pretty quickly. We’ve got big plans to grow and improve our marketing communications, so you’ll need great prioritisation skills to deliver results without compromising on quality.

You’ll be able to work effectively as part of a team but also on your own initiative and deliver projects to a great standard. Our company values mean we strive to be; supportive, connected, dynamic and respectful, so you should be someone who embodies all of these traits in your everyday work.

You may have a marketing qualification or you may be self-taught, but either way you’ll have at least 18 months+ experience in a similar marketing role and be able to evidence your achievements in digital marketing.

Why join L&C?

We’re entering an exciting period of growth and it’s a great time to join us. We’re already the UK’s No.1 online mortgage broker but we don’t want to stop there.

As an employee of L&C, you’ll get:

  • A competitive salary
  • 24 days annual leave (plus bank holidays and your birthday off)
  • Employer pension contributions
  • A hybrid working model (a combination of remote and office working, TBD)
