Purpose of the role:
At L&C we care about our customers and understand that buying a home is likely to be the biggest financial commitment they make.
As a Mortgage Adviser you’ll be responsible for helping our customers buy or remortgage their home or investment property. The work you do can help realise a customer’s property dream - so it’s hard work but can be very rewarding. About you
You’ll be a motivated, enthusiastic individual who demonstrates our core values at all times. You’re able to establish good relationships with customers quickly. You’ll be a great verbal communicator, able to explain sometimes complex products and scenarios in a way that's easy to understand. Your written communication will be equally strong as you’ll be in touch with customers and colleagues using email regularly. You’ll enjoy participating and co-operating with others in the team and will actively seek opportunities for self-development. Ideally you’ll have some mortgage or finance based experience, but energy, attitude and enthusiasm are all equally important. You’ll enjoy working at a fast pace and won’t shy away from activity, quality and advice standards. A bit about the roleL&C operates in a highly regulated environment (Financial Services) and has been designated enhanced status under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SM&CR). This role will be subject to the certification regime. As a Mortgage Adviser you’ll generate a consistently high level of quality mortgage advice. You’ll know your customer - so that the most suitable advice can be provided. At L&C we care what our customers think about us - because we know if they’re not happy, they can go elsewhere. Your role is all about the customer, so expect some quality measures including customer satisfaction. As part of a professional Financial Services firm, you’ll be expected to evidence your advice and keep up with all relevant regulatory, financial and product changes. We want you to build lasting customer relationships - following up with existing customers so you’re able to help them every time they or their friends and family need mortgage advice. If you’re not already qualified when you join us, we’ll support you with obtaining the CeMAP (CeMAP 1,2 & 3) qualification.
We think it’s a great place to work, and we’re not afraid of giving you praise when you’ve done well.
