Right now, we’re looking to recruit a Web Team Manager.

The role

The Web Team Manager is responsible for the management of Web Application Developers to provide internal software development resources to L&C to ensure we meet agreed business needs. This role is very much a hands-on development role with management responsibilities. It is expected that you will help architect solutions, ensure that the team is adopting good design principles, and that proper processes are being followed:

  • Front-end technologies (Vue, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, SASS)·
  • Back-end technologies (.NET Core, C#, Web Services, Function Apps, .NET Framework)·
  • Data (SQL Server, Azure Storage, Message Queues)

You may need to deputise for the Development Manager in their absence.

FCA Certification Regime & Conduct Rules

L&C is authorised and regulated by the FCA and is classified as an Enhanced Firm under the Senior Manager’s and Certification Regime (SM&CR). This role is subject to the 6 FCA Conduct rules and you will be expected to adhere to them at all times. (See below). Any confirmed breaches of the Conduct Rules will be reported to the FCA annually. Should you apply for a Certified role in another financial services firm then L&C may be required to disclose this information in a Regulatory Reference request.

About you

You’ve got a strong background within IT and application development, including Knowledge and experience of using relevant development languages, methodologies and tools, front-end and back-end such as:

You’ll be proficient and able to assist with all aspects of web design, from development of new applications to both back and front end testing. With strong attention to detail and analytical skills, you’ll be able to review code for errors and ensure work is of the highest quality.

You’ll have excellent coding knowledge as well as knowledge of Scrum and other Agile project management systems, being able to provide ample support and lead your team to produce optimal results, coaching them and monitoring progress as necessary. Your interpersonal and relationship building skills allow you to negotiate effectively between colleagues and outside agencies, fostering new innovative ideas and collaboration at the helm of the Web Development Team.
