Right now, we’re expanding our Bath office and taking on an AAT qualified/part qualified Assistant Accountant. This is your chance to be a part of that growth.

The role

As an Assistant Accountant, you’ll be working with the Finance team within L&C to support the day-to-day Finance and accounting responsibilities, ensuring efficient and accurate recordings of payments and expenses, both internally and externally.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Processing and payment of expense requests
Assisting with data entry onto our CRM for receipts from lenders
Preparation of the daily Bank reconciliation
Processing of ad hoc payments
Assisting with the annual audit process

FCA Certification Regime & Conduct Rules

L&C is authorised and regulated by the FCA and is classified as an Enhanced Firm under the Senior Manager’s and Certification Regime (SM&CR). This role is subject to the 6 FCA Conduct rules and you will be expected to adhere to them at all times if successful in your application.

About you

As well as prior exposure and experience in a fast paced financial setting, you’ll be at a minimum part qualified or equivalent with strong technical accounting knowledge, ready for a new challenge and further your skills. Able to work both on your own and part of a larger team, you will be steadfast in managing your own tasks and meeting deadlines. Strong attention to detail is key, as well as proficient knowledge of MS Word and Excel. Experience with Sage50 is desirable however not essential.
