Marketing Executive (12-month maternity cover)

Right now, we’re looking for a Marketing Executive to join our Marketing team for a 12-month period as maternity cover. Join us as we head into an exciting new period of growth.


The role

A mortgage is the biggest financial commitment most people make in their lives, which is why they turn to experts like L&C for guidance. As Marketing Executive you’ll be a crucial part of the customer’s experience, helping us shape content that’s informative, engaging and appealing for each of our customer segments.

You’ll build and send our customer newsletter, produce content for our email campaigns and support the growth of our social media channels. Plus, you’ll report on how these platforms are growing and identify any key trends. On a daily basis, you’ll have one-to-one interactions with customers on our social media and review sites. You’ll also help us regularly review our communications and website to make sure everything stays compliant, relevant and up to date.

Another key part of your role will be supporting the needs of our internal stakeholders; which includes anything from writing content for them, to providing the materials they need to promote our service. All that, plus you’ll support the wider Marketing team with any ad hoc tasks – it’s a real hands-on role!



FCA Certification Regime & Conduct Rules

L&C is authorised and regulated by the FCA and is classified as an Enhanced Firm under the Senior Manager’s and Certification Regime (SM&CR). This role is subject to the 5 FCA Conduct rules and you will be expected to adhere to them at all times if successful in your application.



About you

We’re looking for someone who eats, sleeps and breathes content. It goes without saying that you’ll have superb writing and editing skills and the ability to produce content for a regulated industry (even if you’ve not done it before). Once we’ve shown you the ropes, you’ll be able to take our brand tone of voice in your stride and apply it to everything you write – in both one-to-one and one-to-many interactions.

We’ve got big plans to grow and improve our marketing communications, so you’ll need great prioritisation skills to max-out on productivity and results without compromising on quality. You’ll be able to work effectively in a team but also on your own initiative and deliver projects to a fantastic standard.

You’ll be passionate about helping people understand the complicated mortgage process and providing an excellent customer experience. You’ll have 1-2+ years of experience in a content/communications marketing role, and will be no stranger to email or using social media as a marketing platform.

You may have a marketing qualification or you may be self-taught, but either way you’ll have experience and be able to evidence your achievements in communications, content writing and email marketing.
